Teacher in HE

In my mind, there are no big differences between researching and teaching, because I see teaching as a way of gaining knowledge myself, rather than just "delivering" it to others. I see myself as an older colleague to my students, who tries her best to encourage them via discussions, and most importantly to make them curious about research. I truly enjoy seeing students getting excited and having revelations about theoretical things and empirical methods. Most of the feedback that I've received has been highly positive; my students have described me as someone who is “charmingly enthusiastic about weird things, such as ontological questions and research philosophies”.
